Reasonable 3 course meal. Starter of beetroot/blue cheese - pastry tough. Risotto delicious, side salad - very uninteresting -a plate of leaves! Dessert - pear tatin - tasty but pastry not cooked underneath. Could have been so much better. Probably won't return
Good food. Comfy but basic rooms. Got a good night's sleep. Nothing to complain about.

The Fleeting Brook is a rung up the ladder from usual pub food. Very tasty, good portions and not too expensive. I've visited a few times with family and friends and I don't think we've ever had much to moan about. They have a good range of drinks and quite an expansive food menu for the picky eaters. Only thing that's got me each visit, is the exasperation of the greeter. Oft makes us felt like we are burden or an inconvenience, as if he's surprised that we want to eat there.
Perfect for a Sunday meal with the family of you can't decide where to go. Both the food and prices are pretty good. Kids always like it but I'm never sure why!?

promises so much from outside but very poor. poor tv quality do not visit for a football match. went to have something to eat. arrived at 19.10. menus on table. went to order..... stopped serving at 19.00. lol. so bad.
Not that cheap considering it's part of a large chain of pubs. Nicely decorated though with plenty of tellys to watch sports. On big football nights they operate a table service which is pretty good. Food is OK. DJ on Friday and Saturday nights and quizz night on a Sunday.

Amazing experience. Food was wonderful I had the battered halloumi with chips and it was amazing. Very accommodating for my sister who has many allergies. The chef made fresh chips for her and came out to check what she could and couldn't have in order to reduce cross contamination. Lovely assistant manager (Jack) and kitchen staff (Keelan & Stuart). Will defiantly go back. Thank you all for such a wonderful lunch!
Great service! Assistant Manager Jack and Chefs Keelan and Stuart were very accommodating with my food intolerances. Very helpful and very reassuring. And had a lovely afternoon out.

Reasonably priced, clean and tidy rooms with your own bathroom (albeit a bit small). You get what you pay for! Hosts are warm and welcoming for the most part. Conveniently located close to Purley town centre and ideal transport links (via bus and nearby train station) into central Croydon.
The owners are super nice, friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were nice sized and clean along with the bathrooms. The breakfast in the morning is absolutly sufficient and it can vary according to personal requests. Well worth a stay

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
Alderstead Heath Caravan Club Site, Dean Lane, Merstham, Redhill RH1 3AH, UK – 01737 644629
Great little site, with easy access to Gatwick airport. As expected there are plane noises throughout the day, but you soon get to tune it out, and the evening and night time it goes silent. The current Wardens are friendly and approachable. The site itself is kept clean and tidy and has the usual campsite facilities.
Lovely site. So quite considering so close to London. Play park for the kids. Chalets plus glamping available. Green parrots wild here. Lots of wildlife. Historic church in short walking distance with rare 1200ad wall painting. Staff nice and very helpful. Been here several times now. Don't enter with caravan from Dean Lane!!
